In light of yesterdays's Sermon going to be inestimable. “Even if England were covered with broken glass from coast to coast, I would walk over it.

One of my favorite stories about Salvation and the opposite:

"Among the thoughts that shaped me most was the story Ravenhill told of the notorious British criminal Charlie Peace, who was going to his death on a capital offense. As the minister was reading from the Bible and another book, Charlie Peace asked him, “Do you really believe in such a place called hell?” The minister replied, “Yes.” Charlie responded—and this is the thought that impacted me—“Sir, if I believed what you and the church of God say that you believe, even if England were covered with broken glass from coast to coast, I would walk over it, if need be, on hands and knees, and think it worth while living, just to save one soul from an eternal hell like that!” 2 That struck me. If what we lay claim to on these matters is true, then the dramatic influence in our lives is going to be inestimable. “Even if England were covered with broken glass from coast to coast, I would walk over it.” That is the kind of reality and these are the words that shape one’s call. This was the truth I was going to proclaim.

Welcome TVC Missionaries!!

                        Footwashing?

Last night I was listening to Allistair Begg on John 13 and the washing of the feet. He pointed out hw Simon Peter first declined the Lord's  offer to wash his feet, but after he accepted the concept he asked for his hands and head to be washed. Jesus reminded him that he was missing the point of the
activity.
Anyway, I am very glad you arrived safe and sound and I know that the Lord will Bless your days....

1 It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”
7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”
Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”
9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!”
10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.
12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

Missions..

From John Piper

"Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church.

Worship is. Missions exists because worship

  doesn't."
— John Piper

"All of history is moving toward one great goal, the

white-hot worship of God and His Son among all the

peoples of the earth. Missions is not that goal. It is the

means. And for that reason it is the second greatest

human activity in the world."

At a Glance FAQ 2011

At a Glance   May 2011

1)  CRPN Government owned and operated  - Cadanino Private Christian Foundation
2) 75 Full time residents.
        a) More than 50% have no parents or identifiable family
        b) The ages range from 6 to 46. The official mandate is for 6 to 16, but more than
half are older than 18. No place to move them to.
3) Many are there under protective legal orders. Many have been abused more than
         benign neglect.
4)  All have "profoundly" low intelligence and most have other neurological problems
such as epilepsy, autism, PICA, bipolar disorder etc.
5) Approximately half wear adult diapers
6) Five children are complete invalids
7) The Government employs approximately 44 people for the 24x7 Care

8) Children are fed ample portions of nutritious food and have clean clothing and
         appropriate psychiatric medications.
9) Cadanino consists of 6 people: Five  nannies, one physical therapist,
         and founder.
10) The children thrive on any attention and enthusiastically participate in activities.
11) Cadanino is expressly and intentionally Christian. The government is secular but
more open to Faith Expression than many domestic organizations are.
12)  Guatemala is nearly half Evangelical (by many counts). The rescue efforts of the
Faith world after the 1977 earthquake has resulted in many people coming to
       know the Lord.
13) Some children are successfully reunited with their families. Not a many as would we
would like, but it is possible.
14) Presidential election cycle is on the minds of most Guatemalans. The election is
held in September and the turnover of patronage jobs is higher than it is at home.

11 Year Old Claudia

This wheelchair is really making a big impact in this child's life.  Since her paralysis 5 years ago her mother has been carrying her around on her back during her work. This wheelchair is a true Blessing from the Lord.
