The CadaNino 7

Thought I would use this little used blog to post info and details for our CDNN trip April 7th till the 11th (ish).

I came up with the number Seven as an illiteration and reference to the Seacuacus Seven and the Chicago Seven. Most are too young to remember the Chicago Seven and the film, "Return of the Seacaucus Seven" was obscure enough that Lawrence Kasden was comfortable plagiarizing the movie to make his first hot, "The Big Chill."

This site is unknown but not truly private. If we need to we can go private or take a series of progressive steps to make more obscure. I am hoping to use our thoughts and observations to build future FAQ's for the plethora of Missionaries that will be coming soon!

The Six Gringas are: Kat, Bridgit, Ann, Lynn, Aubrey and Lizzie. Four of our superstars work together at First Rate. Lynn Scarborough is an entrepenur PUblic Relations maven and author friend of mine from Dallas area. Finally, Lizzie is my daughter living here in NJ with me. I hope to leverage our communications and set personal as well as group objectives. This is all brand spanking news for me, so we need help and guidance in all areas.
The password for this account is readily available. Kat already has and I believe you can also post comments to individual blog posts.

So welcome aboard and hold on to your hats!!

BTW: First night housing is resolved: we will be staying at the Barcelo. Peace, quiet and comfort!!

The Lord Loves a cheerful giver.

The Lord Loves a cheerful giver.

This morning a friend made a generous contribution to CadaNino. Most of you know my ambivalence and self consciousness when it comes to asking for money for the kids. I feel good that almost all of my expenses go towards supporting them, so at least I am eating my own cooking.

My pal gave in a way that reminded me of this parable. For me, it is always a challenge. When I had a good job and my tithe looked substantial, was I doing enough? We won't know for some time to come, but I know in this case, he was stretching to make the gift and that means a lot. I told him first and formost to always pray for CadaNino and all the kids. I always thought people just said that and because I was in sales, I always thought only of making the sale. From my current vantage point, I really see that better now..... Anyway, to refresh your memory of Mark 12

The Widow's Offering

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins,[j]worth only a fraction of a penny.[k]
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."
